True 3D — Will this Technology Take Over?

With the arrival of devices capable of recording and playing 3D videos, such as the Nintendo 3Ds and the HTC Evo 3D, is the porn industry about to be deluded with a flood of newly formatted videos? Speaking as someone who has watched professionally made 3D recordings on the Evo, I can say that the technology has a lot of potential. Besides the “new” factor, the added perspective provides a sense of… exhilaration that is not quite there with its 2D brethren.

A few companies, Penthouse included, have already begun offering 3D mobile porn videos made for the Evo. I have not been able to view them, so I can’t say for sure how well they are made. If anyone has, please leave your impressions below in the comment section!

I started this blog on a whim — It’s been about a year since I bought my first mobile porn website, and it has been doing surprisingly well. The success of that first site led to me to purchase more, some doing well and some not, and to really study up on the mobile porn industry.

Smartphone porn is huge these days. It is the driver of growth for online adult websites. I’m not sure where people are finding the time to look at porn on their phones (on the train? office bathroom? in bed at night?), but I know that they’re hungry for it. And the iPhone, being as ubiquitous as it is, is a natural medium to showcase the best of what’s out there.

The problem is, porn is basically banned from the appstore. So while iPhone users can watch adult videos and pics, they can forget about games and any flash-based applications. Well, sort of. The emergence of HTML5 makes it possible for iPhones to finally take advantage of adult mini-apps, and of course those who have jailbroken their phones can install any homebrewed porn applications, which, I think, there are very few of.

I plan on sharing what I have learned here, along with showcasing some mobile porn vids, pics, and any games that I can find. Perhaps some readers will be interested in starting up a mobile porn website of their own, or even better, developing some applications that take advantage of the unique capabilities that smartphones have these days… The iPhone’s Facetime feature is an example.
